This free downloadable activity encourages kids to match the different coloured dinosaur eggs, with an interactive, cut-out sheet to use alongside. The eggs are of differing sizes and feature six bright and vibrant colours, sure to grab your child’s attention and stick in their mind. The accompanying cut-and-stick sheet offers variety – however we do advise that a parent or guardian helps cut out the eggs with younger children.
Trace the line
Help match the dinosaur with their corresponding egg. Following on from colour match, the next activity reinforces this lesson by asking your child to link one of the four dinosaurs with the correct egg, based on the colour. Will it be the squiggly line or the zig-zag – that is up to you!
Colour the dinosaur
It can be difficult colouring in the lines, even for adults. Colouring is a great way to keep your child’s mind working, all while building their creativity. Young or slightly older, your child can use their imagination to decorate this smiley dinosaur however they like, and they don’t even need to worry about staying in the lines.
Match the dinosaur puzzle
This next free worksheet may be trick for the littler ones, but fun all the same and again features a matching cut-out sheet. The puzzle requires you to match the front of the dinosaurs with the back, which will keep your child engaged. Older children can work the puzzle out themselves and cut and stick, and younger children can be given the pre-cut puzzle pieces and stick them down in the correct space.

A simple and straightforward activity for children of all ages to enjoy that will help develop their understanding of puzzle logic. This classic game requires your child to match their dinosaur friend with the correct shadow – some are easy and some are hard, aiding your child’s progression as they grow to understand how different shapes work.

Even dinosaurs get lost sometimes, and this one needs you to help him find his way. I used to play puzzles like this all the time when I was younger, they’re such a great way of building your logic and puzzling skills. Sort by colour and find the missing dinosaur
The last two activities on this free worksheet will not only develop your little one’s understanding of colors and shapes but will also keep their minds active and captivated by the colorful, cute pictures in front of them. These two next cut and stick exercises are a great way to round off this guided lesson. Firstly, your child will need to group together all the dinosaurs, eggs, and shapes of one color into one of the four corresponding columns; yellow, red, blue, and green. Some of these pictures are on the smaller side, so make sure to watch your child when they’re cutting them out.
Finishing up with a simple, fun, cut, and stick, your child can cap off learning with an easy and fun activity. Just cut around the six dinosaurs, and stick them down in the right spot!
