How to Color Our Halloween Coloring Pages

As we said earlier, these downloads are free and in a PDF file format. This means that they will be simple and easy for you to print.
When printed, there are a few different ways you can color them in. Here’s some of our ideas below:
felt tip pens
Felt tip pens are a classic and easy method to color with. We’re sure you’ll have them somewhere if you have kids, and they’re a great fuss-free option with little mess.
Glitter Pens
If you’re looking to make your pictures more flashy and eye-catching, then glitter pens may be the perfect option for you. They’ll make a great sparkly Halloween decoration with ease!
Water Color Paint
Water color paint is a great method for making beautifully painted pictures. They’re the perfect way to add some extra creativity into this, so grab your aprons and water colors today!
Other ways e.g. crayons and so on
These are just a few of our favorite ideas for how you could color in these cute Halloween characters. But there are plenty more, and it’s really up to you how you would like to do so. Your imagination is the limit!
You could keep it simple again with items like coloring in pencils, or crayons. These are great for when you want a quick and mess free activity, especially at a party or in the classroom.
Or you could turn it into a bigger activity if you have the time. A perfect example of this would be to try out using acrylic paints (drop matts and aprons will help you a lot with the clean up!)
Or if you’re looking to get extra creative then try out a collage – use colored pieces of paper and stick these on to ‘color in’ the pictures. Stickers can also be another great option!
Fun Activity Using Our Halloween Characters
Halloween Puppets
Our Halloween Characters are designed for simple and fun coloring in. However, if you would like to get extra creative then there is nothing stopping you from turning it into part of a larger craft!
One idea that always works really well with coloring in pages, and characters like this, is creating puppets. These coloring in sheets will make perfect Halloween Puppets!
if you’re looking for some more information on how to do this, then just follow these steps here:
1. Choose your puppet character. Download and print out the cute Halloween character you would like to turn into a puppet. Regular paper will work, but cardstock will make for a more sturdy puppet.
2. Color them in. Color in the character in using whatever method you would like. If you need some inspiration, then just check out the above section which will give you plenty of ideas.
3. Cut the character out. When the coloring in is completed, grab a pair of scissors and carefully cut out the character. Adult supervision is recommended here with the scissors.
4. Optional: if you couldn’t print the character on cardstock initially, glue this picture onto some cardstock now, let dry, and then cut it out again. It will now be more sturdy.
5. Glue onto lolly stick. Grab a lolly stick and glue. Carefully put some glue onto the lolly stick, then stick on your character. Wait until the glue dries.
6. Done! You’ve completed your Halloween Character Puppet, and you’re now ready to have fun with them!
There’s then lots you can do with these puppets – display them around the house as a decoration, attach them onto your trick or treating candy basket, or even use them as props for a creative Halloween play or funny joke!
